1974 - Metropolis
Metropolis fue una banda alemana a mediados de la década de 1970 de Berlín Occidental, iniciada por ex miembros de otras bandas berlinesas Tom Hildebrand (Mythos) y Manfred Opitz y Michael Westphal (Zarathustra). Michael Duwe se unió a ellos después de regresar de la grabación del álbum Seven Up con Ash Ra Tempel y Timothy Leary. El guitarrista Helmut Binzer, que vino del sur de Alemania, y la cantante Ute Kannenberg, en ese momento más conocida como Tanja Berg en los hit parades alemanes ("Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye" - versión alemana), completaron la banda poco después.
