Tres años después del álbum, Suits, que fue muy convincente para mí, Fish lanzó otro "long player" muy variado en 1997 con Sunsets On Empire. El álbum comienza con la oscura canción antibelicista, The Perception of Johnny Punter, una canción de ocho minutos y medio de duración con diferentes estructuras de sonido y cambios de tiempo a la que cuesta un poco acostumbrarse y algo de tiempo para hacerse amigo de ella. Con Goldfish & Clowns, así como con Change Of Heart, Fish saca un poco de dureza y, en primer lugar, mima a sus oyentes con música pop sofisticada o inspirada en baladas, antes de comenzar con ¿What Color is God? - hace la pregunta algo más agresiva, ¿de qué color es Dios en realidad? Con - Tara - escucharás un muy tranquilo, visto desde el arreglo,

En la segunda parte del álbum, el gran escocés nos lleva a dar un paseo rítmico por la jungla urbana. Derek W. Dick presenta una vez más un cine musical muy amplio y multifacético. With - Warm In A Bottle - sigue una pieza de blues con ritmos calypsor, en la que Fish, debido a una situación de vida rota, se felicita por su cumpleaños. El soltero, Brother 52, también me puede convencer por completo. Fish brilla en esta pista de seis minutos con ritmos "geniales", ritmos interesantes y muestras de sonido. La balada himno, Sunsets On Empire, habría sido un final muy digno para el álbum, que a menudo es pasado por alto y subestimado por muchos críticos, pero Fish también planeó agradecer a todos una vez.

El CD remasterizado todavía presenta el título absolutamente brillante: No salgas de esta área, que en ese momento solo estaba disponible en el single de Brother 52.

Recientemente reformado para un par de shows menos Charlie Whitney perdido en Grecia, este box set reúne todos sus discos en fundas originales con dos CDs extra, CD en vivo, 3 CD singles, firmado por Roger Chapman, reimpreso Sounds con muchos recortes y un libro de 70 páginas con excelentes fotos. Es una edición limitada y el precio es prohibitivo. El catálogo de fondo de Family ha sufrido algunas remezclas por debajo de la media, pero por fin alguien se ha dedicado a remasterizar todos sus discos y esta caja le sirve bien a esta banda subestimada. La familia produjo varios discos clásicos e incluso los discos inferiores a la par tienen algunas pistas destacadas. Si puede pasar el precio, esta caja es esencial.
