En su mayoría Autumn son una banda de rock inglesa. El grupo se formó en 1995 y ha construido su reputación a través de giras constantes, sin firmar nunca con un sello importante. Producen música fuertemente influenciada por el rock progresivo de la década de 1970. Según la BBC, Mostly Autumn "fusiona la música de Genesis y Pink Floyd con temas celtas, hard rock y melodías fuertes y emocionales". También se han comparado con otras bandas progresivas de la misma época como Renaissance, Jethro Tull y Camel, mezcladas con música folk tradicional.
