Edgar Willmar Froese (6 de junio de 1944 - 20 de enero de 2015) fue un artista musical alemán y pionero de la música electrónica, mejor conocido por fundar el grupo de música electrónica Tangerine Dream en 1967. Froese fue el único miembro continuo del grupo hasta su muerte. Aunque sus grabaciones como solista y grupal antes de 2003 lo nombran como "Edgar Froese", sus últimos álbumes en solitario llevan el nombre "Edgar W. Froese".
