Music from The Body es el álbum de la banda sonora de la película documental de 1970 de Roy Battersby, The Body, sobre biología humana, narrada por Vanessa Redgrave y Frank Finlay.

La música fue compuesta en colaboración entre el miembro de Pink Floyd Roger Waters y Ron Geesin, el mismo año que trabajaron juntos en Atom Heart Mother y emplean la biomúsica, incluyendo sonidos hechos por el cuerpo humano (bofetadas, respiración, risas, susurros, flatulencias, etc. ), además de la guitarra, el piano y los instrumentos de cuerda más tradicionales. La última pista del álbum, "Give Birth to a Smile", presenta a los cuatro miembros de Pink Floyd, más Geesin al piano, aunque David Gilmour, Nick Mason y Richard Wright no están acreditados.

El niño que se escucha en la pista de apertura es el hijo de Ron, Joe Geesin.

El LP presenta una lista de pistas diferente a la banda sonora de la película original, y existe un acetato de 3 caras de la versión completa. La portada del álbum presenta un maniquí anatómico transparente (TAM).

Waters no lanzaría otro álbum fuera de Pink Floyd hasta The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking de 1984.
